What materials and equipment do I need for online study?

To undertake a course with Upskilled, you will need access to a computer and the internet. You will also need to have basic computing skills.

Online study essentials

Some or all of the following requirements are needed for online courses:

• Microsoft Windows 7 or higher (Windows 8 recommended) OR Mac OSX v10.5 or higher (Mac OSX v10.6 recommended)
• Internet connection (broadband preferably)
• 2GB of RAM at a minimum
• Software to view online videos and images, such as Adobe Reader, Windows Media Player, Windows Photo Viewer, etc., can be downloaded for free from the Internet.

Nice to have equipment

Other equipment that may be needed or good to have:

• Microsoft Office 2010 or equivalent
• Adobe Reader XI or equivalent
• Adobe Flash Player 10 or higher
• access to printer/scanner and associated software (may be helpful)
• file compression software
