What are the entry requirements for my course?
What are the entry requirements for my course?
On every course page, you will find information listed under a heading that says “entry requirements”.
All online Upskilled students will need access to a computer and the internet. Students will also need to have proficient language and learning skills.
Many Upskilled courses do not have, or may have very general entry requirements. For some higher qualifications, there may be a preferred pathway to study. Remember that some work experience, or other formal and informal skills might count as credit ('Recognition of Prior Learning') towards your qualification.
Upskilled has a flexible admissions policy for enrolment in its online qualifications. In many cases, formal entry requirements are not an aspect of the VET landscape, but there is often a range of preferred pathways that apply.
These might include:
- Successful completion of a related qualification. For example, the preferred pathway of a participant wishing to undertake the ICT50118 - Diploma of Information Technology is a successful completion of the ICT40418 - Certificate IV in Information Technology.
- Demonstrated vocational experience in a range of work environments related to the participant's desired qualification
You can view specific pathways and pre-requisites on the course page of the qualification you are considering.
