What is User Choice (ACT) funding?
The funding provided for Australian Apprenticeships in the ACT is known as User Choice. User Choice is a national funding scheme* that facilitates the disbursement of funding and incentives to RTO's.
Designed to make Vocational Education and Training (VET) more responsive to the strategic needs of Australian industry, User Choice works with Australian Apprenticeships in order that employers and apprentices may:
- Choose the RTO that best provides them with training services
- Negotiate key aspects of the training (where, how and when it's provided)
User choice funding is paid directly to the relevant RTO, potentially reducing the direct outlays by the employer or individual. Australian Apprenticeships (ACT User Choice):
- are a great way to recruit staff and train employees
- offer a huge range of qualifications to improve the operation of any business
Australian Apprenticeships in the ACT are a joint initiative of the ACT and Australian Governments.
