How much will be available to employers?
Eligible employers for the Priority Wage Subsidy program can apply for a wage subsidy* of 10% of the commencing or recommencing apprentice or trainee’s gross wages paid from the commencement of their traineeship.
Payments will be made quarterly in arrears directly into the recipient’s nominated bank account. Wage subsidy for employers of AustralianTrainees paid for a maximum of 3 years:
10% in the 1st Year (max of $1500 per quarter)
10% in the 2nd Year (max of $1500 per quarter)
5% in the 3rd year (max of $750 per quarter)
