Students who are currently enrolled in the following courses may have the opportunity to work with the organisations below to help them find work placement:

Please note that work placement opportunities are subject to availability, so Upskilled cannot guarantee you'll be hired as a volunteer worker.

Also, be aware that each organisation is different, so it's important to recognise the type of work settings you'll need to volunteer in to meet the work place requirements of your course.

The Weipa Community Care Centre assists newcomers to Weipa to feel welcome and prove them with local information. They give assistance to community groups and organisations as well as assist groups or individuals to find information and resources. They provide support and referral for people in crisis situations.

Windarring

Windarring has developed and consolidated services for people with disabilities to become an essential community service organisation in Central Victoria and is an essential partner in the lives of local families. Currently they provide services to over 130 individuals and their parents and carers.

They work within the broader community advocating on behalf of people with disability for access to mainstream services and they are affiliated with a number of key peak organisations at all levels of Government to enable input into policy that impact on the life of people they support.
